The Dawson Academy

Dr. Raj Upadya is a leader in the dental community and at the forefront of modern restorative and cosmetic dentistry. To stay on the cutting edge, Dr. Upadya has a passioned commitment to continuing education. He not only takes courses in the latest techniques and advancements, but teaches his colleagues at the Dawson Academy.

The Dawson Academy is an educational and clinical research facility dedicated to the advancement of dentistry. Courses at the Dawson Academy are taught by other dentists, many of whom, like Dr. Upadya, maintain their own full time dental practices.

The Dawson Academy teaches the concept of Complete Dentistry, as developed by Dr. Peter E. Dawson. Complete dentistry requires ample time between the dentist and patient to perform a full maxillofacial/dental examination and diagnostic testing, as well as a one-on-one conversation about medical history, cosmetic concerns, and any other issues. All of the information is compiled and analyzed to arrive at a precise diagnosis and conservative treatment plan.

Dr. Upadya has logged over 600 hours of continuing education over the past decade and is a candidate for Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry as well as a Sustaining Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In addition to his graduate work in general dentistry, Dr. Upadya completed a rigorous certification in comprehensive esthetic dentistry followed by extensive prosthodontic training at the Dawson Academy. His combined knowledge and skill make him extremely well qualified to treat the most complex dental problems to restore optimal health, function and beauty.
