Digital X-Rays

Dr. Raj Upadya uses digital radiography (x-rays) to capture clear and precise images of the patients mouth for a more complete and accurate diagnosis. Digital dental x-rays are the standard in modern dentistry. Images are captured in an instant, making the process more comfortable for patients compared to traditional film x-rays.

Digital dental x-rays emit 90% less radiation than traditional x-rays, combined with the fact that the image is taken in fractions of a second ensure that the patient’s exposure is extremely low.

Dental dental x-rays are an important step in the diagnosis and pre-treatment planning. Without this snapshot of the inner workings of the oral system, the dentist is left to guess at what might be causing the problem. Dental x-rays also allow the dentist to look for hidden problems that may not exhibit any symptoms such as oral cancer, gum disease and TMJ disorders.

Digital x-rays are also environmentally friendly. There are no chemicals needed to develop the images and since the images are in a digital format, there is no need for bulky storage. Digital x-rays can be kept with the patient’s digital records. The images produced from the digital radiograph are incredibly clear and allow for a greater level of communication between the dentist and patient.
